On 19 November, the London-based Times Higher Education (THE) published its new disciplinary world ranking. In the ranking list of the best medical, dental and health science trainings, Semmelweis University is ranked 301-400th, University of Pécs is ranked 401-500th, University of Debrecen and University of Szeged are ranked 501-600th. All four institutions kept their last year’s position.
775 universities from all over the world are in the raking this year. Oxford University is the first one on the list, with Harvard, University of Cambridge, Imperial College London and Stanford among the top five.
Besides the British institutions, the Karolinska Institute is the best-performing European institution ranked 12th. Specialty rankings are compiled based on criteria similar to the overall list; they measure the performance of the institutions based on the educational environment, research, citation, industrial income and international orientation.
