Dr. Tamás Süle has seven hundred medals about Hungarian doctors and as the result of a scientific research he wrote a book in his retirement years titled "The University of Pécs and its renowned doctors on medals".
According to the Dunántúli Napló (Transdanubian Journal), for the university’s 650th anniversary he tried to create a scholarly but readable work that might be of interest to the public. He also included his own life, his history as a doctor, his medal collecting activity, and his experience as a newspaper editor of the Pécs Dénár (Pécs Coin). In the book he writes about fifty-five physicians with ties to Pécs about whom more than one hundred medals were issued, for example eight medals were issued in honour of János Szentágothai, professor of anatomy.
