8th DDK Internal Medicine Workshop

13 December 2023

On November 25th, we organized the 8th Internal Medicine Workshop at our faculty, providing an opportunity for third- and fourth-year students to practise physical examination in internal medicine, complementing and expanding their theoretical knowledge.

Physical examination, along with medical history taking, is a fundamental cornerstone of medical diagnostics. Knowledge and proper execution of this examination are essential for every medical student. The workshop was announced for all three general medicine programs, and a total of 76 students participated, including 29 Hungarian, 24 German, and 23 English program students. The event took place in three sessions, each lasting two and a half hours. After a brief theoretical introduction, the complete physical examination was demonstrated.

The feedback was extremely positive, with students considering the knowledge gained here as an effective supplement, expressing a willingness to participate in similar programs in the future.

During the workshop, professional supervision was provided by the physicians and collaborating instructors, Dr. Judit Sebők and Dr. Kristóf Filipánits, members of the Board of the DDK. The demonstrators were Míra Zsófia Peresztegi, Brandon Beck, Roxána Molnár, Liliána Lucas, Lili Schwieters, Luciána Hegedűs, Krisztina Kiss, Nóra Molnár, János Kocsa, Lia Gläsel, Michéle Boschert, Katharina Bojzov, Anusheh Kamran, Marielle Aakre and Omar Al-Momani.

Our heartfelt thanks are extended to the staff of the Medical Skills Education and Innovation Center, the leadership of the UPMS, and the DDK leadership for the realization of the program.
